I've not used the 86 mod, but I have the 88 mod and the cars are so slow! Like touring cars. They're pretty tricky to drive as well

Time to get back to this thread Is there any advices or guides about driving without Traction Control? @matt: have the 86 and 88 mods matt, and by somehow the times are wayyy slower than the real 1988 laptimes... This is what happened at Brazil... (ignore the "Australian Grand Prix wrote in that screen") img221.imageshack.us/my.php?image=19886yz.jpg

Uh, you do a smooth transition from 0% to 100% when starting acceleration on the first 3 gears. There ain't much more about it As for the lap times, are you driving on Ace mode? Most Performance files are made for Ace....

Most Performance files are made for Ace.... Hmmm no. 1988/1986 Mods in Ace level the cars are fucking impossible to follow. Started the quickrace, and then each car was overtaking me, one after the other... I started in Ace and then downgraded the levels to find one where I could follow the cars. As far as I can remember, I was stuck in Semi Pro or Amateur level... But since theres no 1988 or 1986 tracks available, theres no point for me to play these mods As for racing without TC, I thought it was like... well, brake early but not hard. You should go easy on brakes and release it when you have enough speed to make the corners... and when exiting them, you slowly press the throttle pedal and when you feel that you are in the right line you can go full throttle. Is it right or I missed something?

You can brake exatcly like you were braking with TC. TC doesn't affect the braking at all, otherwise it would be called ABS. You only have to be carefull when exiting corners, cause if you go full throttle you'll most likely spin.
