i had a lupo race this evening, online of course, and it was the best race i have ever seen, all 6 of us were lapping at the same pace, nose to tail, each of us led at somepoint, and it was the unpredictability that made the race so thrilling, you didnt know whether someone was going to throw one up the inside or around the outside, you didnt know whether the guy at the back was gonna out brake the 3 guys in front, you didnt know if you yourself would be able to stick it up the inside, and most times, when someone did sneak past, they were overtaken on the exit of the corner. Close racing is the best sort of racing, and rFactor is the only game that can give you that level of simulation, unless tp you simulation means being rammed of the track by a CC Car?

obviously rfactor isnt the only solution, but it has the best online code by far, so it might as well be for now GTR2 looks promising but for the fact I didn't particularly care for the demo, the tracks are good and that's it NR2003 is the next possibility, but finding copies of it is like looking for gold dust in a tin mine

Well, opinions are like assholes...each person has one. Now, the thing at hand here is: Doing a season with rFactor. My main gripe is: It has to be online. If we could do like in Gp4 where everyone races offline, it would be cool, but playing online has a number of problems to deal with, specially in a series like this, where we have people from all over the place...bad connections, time zones...too complicated...having a couple of races now and then might be possible, but doing a full 10 race season with a schedule is near to impossible. TBH, I probably wouldn't even participate in such a series anyway. I wouldn't mind acting as host and race controller though...the fact that rFactor requires a wheel to play also breaks a bit the wide range of people we can get in Gp4. BTW, which game the AI bumps on your car? That's rFactor right? Because when AI hits me in Gp4 it's mostly my fault

It happens in every game, for me it's usually coulthard with a death wish in GP4, you can change any number of parameters for the AI in rfactor, including agressiveness, so if you want to whacked off the track, just set that really high The VWC is running a 5 race series at the end of the current F1 season. There are people from South America, Australia, all over the world competing in it. What they're doing is deciding a time as each race comes around so that everyone is free. While you might set a vague estimate of when a race is, it's not an offline league, you cater for everyone who is competing
