The only problem getting it into ZM for .gp4 is the normals. Max super welds all the verts together, so ZM reads one normal per vertex, so you have to split up verts where there would normally be more than one normal from that vertex, if you get me. For example, a 90deg angle should have two normals for the verts on each edge, but max only exports one, so you'd need to give each face a different smoothing group, or split it into multiple elements. That's the only thing that makes it a pain in the ass. It just takes time. And don't go overboard on the TRI-MESH polies. Well, if I had to do that in 3ds max, I would do it quite fast, but Zmodeler is alien to me. My mesh is all quads...

Yeah, in max it's all quads, but remember to count your polies as tri's, otherwise you'll have a horribly high polycount, and i know you like ultra high res maps, which will make GP4 unplayable The only thing you have to do in ZM is sort the damage model out. For instance, with my str1 im working on, i detached the nose to a seperate object before exporting it, and the normals buggered up a treat, so i'd keep it in as few a pieces as possible and then fiddle in ZM. That's the part that takes longest. I'll explain how to do that once you get there

I want this one edit: just seen it in a new light No I dont want this one!!! That looks a bit messy...anyway, provided that the R8 comes out nice, I guess it wouldn't be a problem if you use it...You can always use the Lamborghini Diablo...there's a model of it for gp4 already.

What'll eat more polies I believe is the interior and I'm planning on get one turbosmooth level added to the body work too...

I wouldn't worry about a complex interior. GP4 has a seperate cockpit object, so you just need something to fill the void inside. What I'm doing with mine is just making three boxes, flipping them inside out then putting one in the back, one in the front, and then one to make up the dash with a small amount of detailing.
Plus a racing chair I made a while back...
