OK, everyone, it's time for the San Marino GP! So far it's looking like rain for the San Marino GP. But things coudl still change! San Marinohere is the timzone chart to keep people on track with getting their submitions in on time. www.iama.edu/JetLag/Images/TimeZone_big.jpgViper will post the proper checksum info.

Here's the relevant data that should checkout on your files: Checksum: fc77e817 858 BHP And this are the usual stuff that should be working on the carset: Quickrace must be set to 15%. In the case of Imola I think we'll be doing 9 laps. I'll confirm that later but I think it's correct. You should have no AI cars on the track. You must do one single pitstop at any point desired. You must have your correct name and team showing in the summary data and the physics file must be the one supplied with the carset. If anyone else is still having problems with the carset it's most likely your installation of Gp4 that is giving problems and as such you must try and figure it out yourself. In any case, here's a solution that'll work: - Backup your savegames and carsets. - Uninstall Gp4 and delete the folder - Re-install Gp4 - Patch the game to version 1.02 - Add the de-crypted Gp4.exe to the main folder overwriting the original. - Install GpxPatch 3.8 or higher - Install CSM Build 1.25 Build 45 - Install Gp4Tweaker Reloaded (Won't be necessary when the v1.0 of the carset comes out as it'll come bundled with the carset) - Install the carset and the necessary updates With those procedures I can garantee it'll work. I just tested it on another PC here a couple of days ago and after about 20 mins I was running the game with the carset without any problems. Some pertinent news about the Carset now. I have done several modfications in it which will have to come on a all new version unfortunately, otherwise we'll end up with lots of superfluos files in the current version that'll only take space. I am still doing modfications to it regularly though and am waiting till I have a more solid version to release it. I know a few here are missing files like helmets and such, but be patient It won't take long now. In the meantime, any files that you have and want in the carset, be it helmets, cars, specific track helmets or cars, pitcrews, etc, just sent them to me so that I can add them. You can actually send them to the new admin account of the wsrc since we have tons of space on that one As for the next race itself, it actually looks like dry for now. 40% chance of precipitation is not enough IMO to qualify as a wet race...still expect that forecast to change by tomorrow

Well I have my new car on the way (just finishing off the mapping at the moment) so that'll be winging it's way over to you this week About the new account, I use Outlook, which I know has problems with gmail, and my msn is hooked up through that due to a load of problems I had with an old hotmail account. Is there something else I could do instead?

Of course, diogo[at]sinkron.com.br is my mail. You can send your stuff there. In the case of lap submission though, it'd be better if you can send to the gmail account, if not, you can send them to any of the three of us and we'll relay the files appropiately.
BTW, I see you can do carshapes and mapping...fancy doing a couple of changes for me on the shape I'm using?

My checksum is that same as what viper posted but my BHP is 792. This always seem to be the case, most of the time im about 50 BHP under what everyone else is running at. Is there anyway of making it to be the correct amount?
I hope to race in this event, but im away from tomorrow morning till next sunday arvo, so i hope to get my times in. I hope it's not a wet race, or it will really annoy me.

Ahh, it's a dry race people! I'm sure there are sighs all around! Good luck and don't forget that, if you can, please submit your files to wsrcadmin@gmail.com

I thought you were the 3ds max expert If I do any modifications then I may have to completely remap the shape, and this fantasy car I've made has taken me 3x as long to map as it did to make lol Tell me what you want changing and I'll see what I can do

If for some reason you are not the BHP changes without changing the checksum as those are different things. It's a dry race @zep: I only wanted a Low Downforce version which would really only consist of a different front wing, no horns and a change in the degree of the rear wing. I'll see if it's possible to modify it in max without losing mapping coordinates though...if it's then I'll do it myself...

Well you can change the rear wing in ZM easily enough (I'd still prefer max too mind ) by selecting "upper_rear_wing" and then rotating it a bit. I think you would have to remap it tho, max doesn't seem to like ZM coords. It's not that hard to remap stuff in ZM, it just takes a while

Yeah, well...for a guy that never had to map anything, it's a bit hard...It's a very tedious work. When doing hi poly work like I do I can just use 10+ textures for a single object and just using planar mapping all the time. My Hyundai is sort of like that...

And I thought using 3 textures on a whole shape was bad lol

Well, if you are doing for games yeah, but for high poly work, the more textures you have the more quality you can have...I used to do scifi stuff...all my starships had 60+ 4000x2000 textures...
