Yeah, congrats on your 2nd place. Interesting to see how a change of track can make a difference on performances. BTW, I thought I'd post this Fact Sheet I was writing today of the series. I'll add more later, but for now:
WSRC Facts
- Pole Record is held by Diogo Vincenzi with 10 Poles - Number of victories is held by Diogo Vincenzi with 9 wins - Number of Fastest Laps is held by Henrique Rocha with 8 fastest laps - Largest winning streak is 2 races by Diogo Vincenzi, Tom Matthews and Brian Glanville - Diogo Vincenzi won both the Austrian and San Marino GPs twice in two consecutive years (2005-2006). The San Marino GP followed the Austrian GP on both years - The event that had the lowest number of competitors finishing the race was the 2005 United States GP with only 3 cars crossing the finish line - The 2005 season had two different teams winning championships as Audi’s driver Diogo Vincenzi was World Champion and BMW Arrows won the Constructor’s Championship - The brazillian flag has been featured on the podium 27 times counting all 1st, 2nd and 3rd places - No team has yet done a 1-2 win since the start of the series in 2005

WSRC - Welcome gentlemen to the San Marino GP post race press conference. Vincenzi, congratulations on your 10th victory! A milestone in the WSRC. This victory it seems, came easy to you. Take us through the opening laps where Bruno Castello got the jump at the start and the overtaking at the first chicane to take the lead?
DV -
WSRC - Castello, congratulations on a much deserved second place finish! You've shown great improvement in this still early season! You had a better start off the starting line then Vincenzi. What can you tell us about that?
BC -
WSRC - Finlay, a third place finish for you today and a bit of a struggle it would seem, with the car today. What cna you tell us about your performance today?
MF -
WSRC - Diogo, you pitted on lap five with quite a lead, and still managed to come out, twelve seconds ahead of Finlay, who had yet to pit. It owuld seem that Audi are back on form. Do you feel that team has made great strides since the the season opener?
DV -
WSRC - Castello - As the day went by, Vincenzi open up a good lead! Where do you feel the team need to improve to catch the pace of the top teams?
BC -
WSRC - Finlay, Reece Byrne has been absent from a couple of races. How will Holden, bounce back to regain some loss ground, in the points?
MF -
WSRC - Castello - First official podium for RaltWest racing and yourself and no one to take it from you this time! This must give you quite a confidence boost. Your thoughts?
BC -
WSRC - Vincenzi, your final thoughts of todays race and what we can expect in Barcelona?

DV - Thank you. The car is currently very well balanced and very reliable so I was not really worried with the race. Imola is a circuit that I know very well and having won here last year I only expected to do the same. Still, there are areas where we can improve and one is the launch system that system to act very poorly. Still, once the car was running it was just a matter of taking the inside line and overtaking Bruno to take the lead.
DV - Yeah, definately, although at Australia we weren't too bad. What got in the way was the penalty I received there. Still, I struggled a lot at Malaysia and so coming to Austria we did some testing to try and figure out the problems. After some hard work, we are on the level we wanted to be.
DV - It was great to win my second race of the season here at Imola with such a good margin as well. The car is quick, stable and reliable and we can only hope to improve. We have a test session coming up and we intend to make the maximum out of it so that we arrive at Barcelona with an improved engine. Still, Barcelona is a track that we did not race last year and that might increase the difficulty for us a bit. But we have a larger lead now over Matthews, so I think we are going there with a good chance.

MF - it was a disappointing race. i think a lack of preparation meant that we were simply too slow.
MF - he had an accident during the practice session, which meant that he was unable to compete as he'd written off the chassis. we'll go to barcelona next week and we have an extensive testing program to run through which should see us back in a competitive position.
