" Anyway, silverstone is a neat circuit. Learning it takes little effort " Maybe for you, I hate half the corners, and getting a good setup is a bitch half the time Any benchmark times I can look forward to getting nowhere near to?

2005 British GP - Review
The 2005 British GP marked the comeback of what would later be the main title contenders for the year. Diogo Vincenzi was coming back from a four race rest, after having a violent accident on the last corner at Barcelona. Having injured a leg on the accident, the brazillian had to stay out for the next GPs so that he could get back on full time. The same fate was the one of Henrique Rocha. After winning the Spanish GP in great style, the brazillian didn't show up for the next three races, for what it seemed personal reasons.
But, when the England race approached, both drivers announced that they would be coming back again to the fight. By that time however, Brian Glanville had slipped up the order and was a distant first with the two brazillian sitting in 3rd and 4th. Qualifying sessions proved again to be highly competitive, but Rocha took another pole, bringing his total to 5, which was a milestone for the series. Very close on second, was Vincenzi, showing that he intended to fight as hard as possible. A little further back, Matt Finlay and Brian Glaville were sitting on 3rd and 4th respectively and Lonnie King had 5th with KDR's Iain Dalby finishing up in 6th.
The race however gave a different sign then what was expected. Rocha was able to pull out a gap to Vincenzi right away, and got an easy victory for the team, showing he was still on top of his form. His teammate, Brian Glanville finished up in 4th, as he could not find way into Vincenzi and Finlay. Further behind, finished Lonnie King and Iain Dalby, both did quiet races, but still scoring some valuable points for their teams.
The show however was in the hands of the Audi and Porsche drivers. Diogo Vincenzi had a good start, but Matt Finlay kept on his tail in the first couple of laps, and then started to put some huge pressure on the brazillian. Almost every lap had a pass attempt from Finlay, with Vincenzi making sure to block him as best as he could. On the closing stages, neither drivers were showing sign of giving up, but Vincenzi finally put up a better lap, and managed to pull off a few tenths from Finlay, which garanteed his 2nd place. Later, on the press conference, the brazillian explained that the car was actually not behaving as expected, and that he was unable to match Rocha as closely as he did in the qualifying. It was clear, that the BMW team had an obvious advantage, since Glanville was still driving while Rocha was absent, while Audi didn't have a second driver.
And so the weekend finished with both brazillians once again tied up on the table, but very close to 2nd position Lonnie King. Still, both had to go a long way if they wanted to catch Brian Glanville further ahead.
