Yeah, as I thought, we have 2 submissions already. BTW, I think the main problem the series has right now, is that both championships have been decided, so there's nothing to aim for, except winning. But we are only 3 races to go guys...let's make a final effort to end it in style

My race will be submitted soon. My aim has always been to win races, and that hasn't changed even if the championships are decided. I look foward to fighting Bruno over who will win a race this season first It has been a long season, lets get these three races done and then we can all take a well deserved break and come back strong for next season.

I dont expect to win spa or suzuka cos I did a terrible race at spa and I've submitted my files for spa race right now My aim this week is to find a new steering wheel, sell the current I have and start developing the things for suzuka to recover the strong form I had in the first half of the season But I agree with your words about the last races and the upcoming 07' season cheers Bruno

My Spa race was just to say that I raced, cause I almost didn't test. Proof of that is that my fastest lap in race was better than my qualifying lap. My aim is to do well at Suzuka and Interlagos

Cantero Sparkles at Spa
Next on the calendar was the Belgian Grand Prix, but events from Monza had to be sorted out first. The top three finishers of the Italian Grand Prix; Laurent Keersmaeker, Jorge Caranti and Matt Finlay were all disqualified by the race stewards for underweight cars. When the stewards investigated further, they discovered extra fuel tanks in the three cars, each containing a small quantity of fuel. As this practice of using fuel as ballast was clearly illegal, the governing body had no choice but to remove the cars from the results, giving Diogo Vincenzi the win. HSV, along with KDR and Vodbul chose to appeal the decision claiming that no performance was gained by the extra fuel, and that through-out the race the cars had been filled past the minimum weight specification. Despite the majority of the WSRC drivers council giving their approval that the cars should be re-instated, the original disqualification was upheld by the chief steward. Vodbul and HSV backed down and began preparations for Spa. Caranti however accused the board of fixing the results in favour of Vincenzi. Caranti was immediately handed a one race ban for the Belgian Grand Prix.
In the wake of the Monza fall-out, qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix was a subdued affair. VodBul announced early in the day that Laurent Keersmaeker would not be participating due to a stomach bug he picked up while holidaying in France. Ivan Cantero was announced as his replacement and the newcomer took to the circuit with great enthusiasm, clocking a laptime of 1:38.306 which would not be beaten. Diogo Vincenzi of Audi was second quickest on a 1:39.606, although the Brazilian claimed that more speed was possible. Raltwest driver Bruno Castello was third with, what he described as a good lap of 1:40.725. The second of the VodBul’s driven by Dave Carr-Smith would line up 4th with a 1:43.072. Carr-Smith would blame traffic on his hotlap. Matt Finlay was on target to line up third, but an accident at Stavelot destroyed the car and any chances of qualifying for the Australian. Nick van der Voort was also unable to complete a lap due to mechanical issues in the pits.
An excellent start by Cantero saw the VodBul driver retain his lead into La Source and then pulling out a lead over the fast starting van der Voort, who went from 6th to 2nd . Castello dropped to 4th as Finlay moved into 3rd , while Carr-Smith fell to 5th . Vincenzi made a poor start and was last by the time the cars filed through Eau Rouge.
As per usual, Vincenzi forced his way through the field to eventually take second before the end of the first lap, just a few tenths behind Cantero. Despite a great start, Finlay was pushed back to 5th, one ahead of Carr-Smith.
Lap two saw Cantero extend his lead over Vincenzi. Unbelievably, both Raltwest cars made contact at the Bustop and both were passed by Finlay. Fortunately both cars look to be undamaged.
The order remained unchanged until Cantero pitted on lap four, handing (albeit temporarily) Vincenzi the lead, until the Brazilian pitted one lap later. Once all the pitstops were completed, the race order had Cantero with an eight second lead over Vincenzi. A further 10 seconds separated him from third placed van der Voort, who had passed Finlay during the pitstops. Castello was two seconds behind the HSV, while Carr-Smith held a steady sixth.
On the final lap however, all hell broke loose. Finlay, pushing extremely hard pulled alongside van der Voort through Eau Rouge and the Dutchman was forced to take evasive action across the tarmac run-off area. Finlay was through and back into third again, but the battle wasn’t over as the two fought for several more corners to come, van der Voort passing Finlay again at the hairpin. A final effort saw the HSV driver again pull alongside the Raltwest on the entry to Pouhon, but too late did Finlay realise that two into one does not go, and the two cars collided, pitching Finlay into a terrifying spin which ended in the wall. Finlay was unhurt in the accident, while van der Voort escaped with just a damaged wing. The debris from the accident brought out the yellow flags. Castello passed through without incident, but Carr-Smith, not seeing the yellows charged through Pouhon at full throttle and ran clean over some of the debris left from the accident. He lasted another hundred metres before the right rear tyre exploded, pitching the Vodbul into a spin and out of the race.
At the front however, Cantero took an unchallenged win, a terrific drive for the newcomer, ahead of Vincenzi, van der Voort and Castello. Congratulations to Cantero!
Final Classification
1. Ivan Cantero VodBul........................11:52.505 2. Diogo Vincenzi Audi..........................12:01.207 3. Nick van der Voort Raltwest.............12:15.108 4. Bruno Castello Raltwest...................12:17.764 DNF. Matt Finlay Holden HSV.................Accident DNF. Dave Carr-Smith Vodbul................Accident Damage
************************
Both Matt Finlay and Dave Carr-Smith's checksum data was incorrect. They read: 137a4f4e, 00000000, 6015de08, 19a05e2a as opposed to the standard: 94a0021c, 00000000, 6015de08, 19a05e2a Assuming the checksum data was correct for both cars, Finlay would've finished 3rd and Carr-Smith would've finished 6th.
