I've been looking at different hotlaps from everyone and noticed something I didn't notice before.
I have the GP4 9.6 patch installed and I'm not sure if this is any corrolation with that patch, but in the hotlap file my GP4 version is 1.00. While there are others who have the same version I do, some of you have version 1.02. I just want to know what does that version number indicate?

So I did a little digging! It seems that the 9.6 patch is version 1.02. So why doesn't my version number register that? Hmmm...

Hmmmm....I thought 1.02 meant the gp4 version...it seems to be a bug most probably though...

Well the 9.6 patch is actually just a Dycrypted GP4.exe file so it is the GP4 version. Sorry if my last post confused you.

Does this mean Saturday is DQ'd from the season, placing Team KDR above Porsche ?

Does this mean Saturday is DQ'd from the season, placing Team KDR above Porsche ? I don't think so! I am using the 9.6 patch. That much I I know! I jsut can't figure out why it is reporting the wrong version number! I even downloaded and installed another 9.6 patch file with the same results.

I wouldn't sweat much on it. It really doesn't seem to be an issue...I don't think it'll really change anything.

I read that over again and I sounded a little bit harsh! That was not my intention! I was not offended at all! I was just trying to state my case. But as Viper said. I doubt that it will change much of anything. The 9.6 patch simply fixed a few bugs from the original version. The real culprit, if I'm not mistaken, in cheating would be the track data! Different track data could results in different track times do to things like surfface grip on the track, for one.
