So this is currently up for discussion and I want to know what everyone wants. Since we are going to use the Quickrace format, it's possible to have pitstops in the race. So we are giving you two choices:
A) Allow Pitstops. This means all drivers will be required to make 1 single pitstop. No more no less. Strategy to the driver's discression.
B) Do not allow pitstops. This means you'll make the race with no pitstops. Quite simple.
100Km/h will be the speelimit in the pitlane.
There's another issue though, that is more complicated then all this. Currently, the carset is setup so that the game controls the car speed in the pitlane just like the normal game. I COULD set it up so that you control the car speed, and make a button to enable a speed limiter on the car, so that you don't go over 100Km/h. I'd have to set a rule though that if you go over that speed in the pitbox area 10 seconds will be added to your overall time. I'd like also to know what you guys prefer here.
If don't understand this, I can post a video of how it would work...

I do like that idea of controlling the speed limiter with a keystroke, from a drivers persoective! Tthat allows for more human error to occure. However, it make the admins job a little more challening because we have to make sure that drivers aren't speeding in the pit lane. The game controls that very well but how easy would it be for the admin. We would have to make sure we could view the pit in lap and be able to view their speed relative to the pit entrance and exit. That type of control I don't think would be very easy to make precise decisions for the admin.

Yeah. I think having the pitstop is really just a matter of opinion. But the limiter thing is complicated. While it allows for more human error, it's harder for us admins to control. Either case it's very easy to set it up in the carset, just need to change a 0 from 1 in an ini file or vice-versa.

I say we keep it, computer controlled if at all possible!

No problem. So far then we'll have 1 pitstop, computer controlled. Strategy is at the driver's discretion...

Sounds good, as long as everyone agrees to it! Come on people! Let your voice be heared! We want to know what you think of the 2006 rules?
