Hell I could get a custom shape going with everyone's input if you guys are interested in something like that.
Perhaps a development freeze too? Just have say, 900bhp at the start of the year, and if there is some kind of an upgrade, we all get the same package

Single carshape: For a one off type event, maybe. For the series, don't like the idea...
Development Freeze: It was like that in 2005. Albeit the first half was with a somewhat confusing rule, the second half of the season had everyone running 900 BHP. For 2006 we brought in testing to add in a bit spice. Of course, majority wins here, but I like the way the tests went so far, and the BHP differences aren't all that great. It was already kinda frozen this year though, cause we were scheduled to make a full pre-season testing, but due to delays we ended up not making it and giving everyone 880 BHP.
All in all, I think slicks are a good idea.

Slicks are a go from me, and there are a lot of nice sets flying round, 91 mod, 94 mod etc Would this mean one manufacturer, (outlandish like Goodyear maybe ) or would we be outlandish and have lots hehe

I think any carshape goes for the main championship, use speciality ones for special events. Tyres I think you should be able to pick whatever manufacturer you want

On tyres: We can let anyone choose the brand, but we'll stick to one shape only, so textures will have to be made for that tyre. Zep, would you be willing to mod the current shape we use to be slick? I can make textures easily enough...better then the current ones anyway. I can even make new shapes and you just map them inside zmodeler?

Hey, I've got plenty of sets which can be made into slicks. For me, the default ones will be as far as I go hehe I can fiddle with the current shape though yes. Although, you wouldn't need to worry about having to map the shape inside ZM, it can be done from max. My render tires are mapped this way for the logos, and a cylindrical map can be used for the tread

i like the idea of a contract system as its more life like, would it work here though? doubt people would be able to 100% commit year to year. If it can be done it would make it better as you would be able to negotiate with other teams or try and tap drivers up

If it can be done it would make it better as you would be able to negotiate with other teams or try and tap drivers up Before joining the WSRC, i've been playing for a Brazilian "Championship Manager 2001/2002" League, they still exists but almost everyone has left it. That league had a contract system, which caused a lot of problems for the members, so my previous experiences with contracts in league games can't make me agree with the introduction of this idea here

A contract system would complicate things a lot IMO. I think the current system, works well, and is free enough to allow some flexibility, in the case someone can't race for a while and so on.

back to the off season races, what carsets will be available? DTM, GP2, V8s maybe, any more?

Lemans will be difficult. Not least the pictures available are more often than not, completely useless for detailing, and the fact that the physics will be extremely difficult to do anything with. I think the best bet is to probably get some kind of fantasy mod going maybe? Perhaps have something that is unique to the WSRC? This would make it a bit more individual, and we can all have a say on how the cars feel rather than tinkering with the current physics sets

What about simply having a stock car race with the cars from the engine manufactors? I think most cars here are avaible, or will be avaible soon for gp4.
That, or we make something new too...
