As reporters lined up to hear the latest Audi Motorsports announcement, they did not expect anything like that to surface. Everyone was in shock when the announcement was made. Read the full transcript below:
"Audi Motorsports has enjoyed two great seasons at the WSRC, culminating in 1 Driver championship, possibly 2, and with chances of winning the Constructor's Championship as well. But after much thought put on it, we have decided to withdraw our entrance to next year's championship.
There are a few things happening that made us choose that instead of continuing. The most important is the fact that Diogo Vincenzi decided to pursue a new path on his career, and we'll fully support his decision. Another problem is due to techinical requirements changing for next year, which we are not interested at the moment, of pursuing.
We'll be finishing this season in full force though. This decision only applies after the current season ends, and we still have two championships to win this year.
Both Audi Motorsports and Vodafone-Audi won't be participating in next year's competition. Our pilots are free to pursure their objectives any way they want and we wish them good luck. Thank you"
With this recent development, the series has lost a major team for next year's championship. We now expect news on what Diogo Vincenzi will be pursuing as an objective next year and will report anything as soon as we hear it.
==============================================
Ok guys, for real now. Things have been a little complicated in my life the past few weeks. Mostly personal stuff related to my family. Still, my main objective for next year is to try and get a real job, as this freelance stuff ain't cutting anymore, and I need to try and get away from these problems. For now, not much I can do until I hit 3rd semester at College (stupid requirement most companies ask)
If I can get a job though, it'll mean I'll have little time for racing in the series (Job during the day, College at night) so I don't want to commit myself to this without knowing what'll happen then. I'll continue the usual Admin duties though as I don't want to leave it completely. Maybe if I do end up with time afterall, I'll just pick a 2nd seat somewhere
