Rumor has it that senior members of Porsche's racing department have given the green light to their own attack on the WSRC championship for 2007, This comes after the recent split with KDR and will please fans of Porsche no doubt around the world. Members of the press understand that DHL will be the main title sponsor for the team, which will be officially run by Roger Penkse after the success in ALMS this year. The location of the teams headquarters is not yet known but is expected to be based at the Weissach development centre. A statement regarding the team will officially be released in the next few weeks, where we expect to receive conformation of Matt Green as next years No.1 driver. This decision comes after the recent omission of Audi from the end of 2006. signaling his availability to the team. The No.2 driver has not been uncovered as of yet but it is understood that senior Porsche officials have a desire to bring on board a proven race winner to aid in the development of the car.
