So it has come to my attention that Viper, did try to send me his files last week, but that the server, that deals with the email, reported that they could not send the files.
As the race admin, I was in receipt of an email from him labled, Australia race laps, that I recieved on Sat Feb 25, 2006, according to my email. However, no files wer attached.
This ruling will change the outcome of the race.
I am in receipt of the files in question, as of Mon Feb 27, 2006. The resulting files would give Diogo Vincenzi Pole for the start of the race and the Win.
His qualifiyng time was 1:23.336 His race finish time was 13m12.654s
It is the duty of the drivers council to vote on this issue. Should his files be allowed to be instated into the final results?

In my defense, I didn't mean for this to happen, that's why send everything in early. But due to a series of disencounters from my part and saturday's we didn't see that the laps had not been delivered properly. I apologize for that and will understand any decision that comes out here. Still I feel that this was a big misunderstanding and that I should not penalized for something that was completely out of my control.

I have no problem with it. Im in no way bad-mouthing (for the use of any word) Saturdaynight but the files should/ould have been saved on his end before it was too late. I will obviously dissapointing to Zep who thought he had/deserves the win. So that would lead me too suggests some sort of penalty, i'm not sure what though.

at uni here, if your report is not submitted ontime, before the deadline. bad luck. doesnt matter if the server is faulty or anything. you lose, go home. i admit, im biased. i'd really prefer to keep my 2nd place ;D. i think...a 10 second penalty is in order

Ok, how about a 12 second penalty, but you let me keep my pole? 12 seconds would be the average time of a pass through the pitlane...

Noooo I don't want to lose pole Doesn't matter, a penalty is in order I feel, for the reasons matt stated, it's the same at college over here Don't know if I still get fastest race lap though?

Four votes of yes is enough the swing the decision. Vincenzi's laps will count! Noooo I don't want to lose pole Doesn't matter, a penalty is in order I feel, for the reasons matt stated, it's the same at college over here Don't know if I still get fastest race lap though? So Zep, would you relinquish pole to Vincenzi and he gets a 12second drive through penalty? Is that what mean by your statement? Please clarify.

I would indeed relinquish pole position yes, as I think a 12 second penalty would mean I still win the race, which is perfectly fair I think given the circumstances

Then, as I just stated: With 4 votes for yes, Vincenzi's laps will count! His qualifying lap was fast enough for Pole and as even Vincenzi agreed, a 12 second penalty, will be envoked. I'll add his laps to the race results and repost the race in it's entirety to get the final standings for the Australian GP.
