Looks like the weather will be quite interesting at Sepang as well. Maybe we'll see something like Melbourne's qualifying. Schumacher seems to be very motivated for the Malaysian Grand Prix, after his retirement last race. He said in an interview that he was buoyed by Barrichello's performance, and is pretty confident that he can win. Barrichello also is very motivated. According to his own words, the F2004M is more competitive than they thought possible. He also thinks that he can fight for the win on the Malaysian GP.

What about the McLarens? I read on their site a couple of days that their not so good performance at Australia was due to a protective thingy under the car that broke and so reduced the performance...Montoya seemed to be confident he could have done better if not for that...

Yeah, Mclaren was supposed to go well in Melbourne (as Galvão Bueno said they are the "bichos-papões" of the season ). I'm looking forward to see how the Raikkonen - Montoya team will do this year. Hopefully Mclaren will be champion this year. I don't think that any other team (except Ferrari of course) is as capable as them to do that.

Interesting lineup! I was hoping Massa would be better in the end of things, but that was not what happened...btw, am I the only one that thinks this qualification system sucks balls? Anyway, here's the lineup: Alonso Trulli Fisichella Webber Ralf Schumacher Haikkonen Klien Coulthard Button Heidfield Montoya Barrichelo Michael Shumacher Massa Davidson Villeneuve Karthikeyan Monteiro Friesacher Albers I'll try to sleep a bit now so I can watch the race on tv

What an interesting race! ...
Don't read the rest if you don't want the race spoiled!
...Very interested that both Red bull drivers finished in the points! Toyota did an excelent job! Congrats to Alonso! I think, maybe, that we will have an interesting season of Formula 1 this year. Quite a different start from last year!

Fantastic race, it was well worth getting up for, though in the UK it was 7am which isn't too bad at all (even for a Sunday!). Plenty of interesting incidents, lots of great overtaking, and I also think that the TV direction was good too. So good it got me straight onto GP4 int he afternoon !

It was worse with me! I stayed awaken until 3h40 AM, then I slept when the race started and just woke up when Schumacher was cornering the penultimate turn!

We had to cut down on expenses so I no longer get the Speed channel, which carries all the F1 races in the United States. So I was only able to follow the race via Formula1.com's live timing page.

Well, F1 airs here on open Tv, so it wouldn't be a problem if not for the 4AM time
