Anyone any ideas on the race weather? There seems to be confusion about it. Also what percentage weather would we be applying? Presumeably there is a difference between a light drenching and a monsoon drenching!!

The problem with the weather percentage in GP4 is that just because you set 50% or even 70% rain, doesn't mean it will rain. That's why i always apply %100. It always rains though it's always a monsoon.

Gonna try to do my laps as soon as I have time. I'd make a joke now but I guess we aren't in the mood for it right now....

I did my laps last night for the monaco grand prix. I had the weather set to 100% and went out practicing with a full 10 lap fuel load. According to the weather pattern for the practice session it was the rain slightly less blue than the monsoon rain if you know what i'm saying. So anyway, i went out and set what i thought was a good lap and submitted one of those laps as my quali lap.
Then i went back into the main menu and restarted a practice session in order to do my race laps. the weather pattern for the race now showed monsoon (dark blue) rain for the first hour or so. I figured there shouldnt be a difference, but there most certainly was in terms of my laptimes. It wasnt that i wasnt able to go quicker, its just that the circuit had less grip and i was forever overestimating san devote, and one or two other corners. Plus even when i put in a decent lap it was nearly 3 seconds off the quali lap with the same setup and fuel load.
Therefore, i'm wondering whether the 100% probablity of rain is actually fair. Certainly, it doesnt feel that way.

Well see, exaclty my point. GP4 does not define a spefic weather patern which would be nice, that way I could tell everyone what weather pattern to use. BUt alas GP4 weather is too random. That said, I hate Monaco in the wet, as you will see when the race results are posted! Good luck everyone! This ones going to be tough! Here are the Qualifying Results so far. Glanville 1:30.177 King 1:33.978

Yeah, monaco in the rain is no fun. I always imagine monaco in the sun, so for me driving in the wet there just doesnt feel right. Mind you its some challenge, you really have to be on the job all the time

Hmmm! What happens if we only get three or four drivers for this race! is it worth it? I'll still go through with it but it would seem rather mundane!

Hey Guys,
Just got back from my holiday in Mexico and I see I have my work cut out for me, driving at monaco in the rain with only 1 day to train, because tomorrow there is going to be work again for me.
I'll do my laps today, but they will probably be crapy all the way around.
I'll also try and see what I can fix and make for next years car.

Sure I have no problem extending the subitmitions for this race since only two people have done so at this point. Lets, make it a rule that at least three or four people must submit laps for the race to become official.
