That first turn can be a bit tricky if you get off the racing line or don't break at the right moment!

With the first turn i have to start coming down the gears when i reach the first apex, coz really the first corner is a double apex right hander. If i go in there flat i'm finding the car becomes very light and can oversteer very suddenly

Is anybody here having problems with the first corner? I don't know hom many times I've lost control while going flat out there... Nope, no problems there. You are probably just braking late. My only problem is really with spoon, and I'm thinking it has to do with one of those extra running lines Gp4 comes up with sometimes. I haven't got it wrong in the last few days though.

Braking late? I don't brake at all. Just for turn 2.

Well, that's what I do too...I meant braking for the second corner. But if you are losing it right at the first one, then it's setup related...

laps are done with no issues whatsoever. the casio chicane gets very annoying at times though because it ruins the flow of the circuit.

I'll probably do my laps tomorrow...I'll reserve today for practice. I haven't done laps at suzuka with a fuel load higher then 3 laps

Just did my laps. Surprisingly, I was able to do them on my first try. I fell off a good 1.3 second from my qualifying lap during the race, but my fastest lap was only 0.6 off the qualifying, so I think I did ok. I'll send them later to saturdaynight...

my slowest lap was about 1.0s away, my fastest lap was within 0.1s of my qualifying time. took me a couple of attempts, after 5 laps i realised my underplank was completely destroyed and costing me straight-line speed. so i had to abort the run and adjust the setup.
i was interested to compare the data from some of my race laps with the qualifying lap, i actually got a faster top speed during the race than in qualifying...i dont know how that worked unless the calibration settings on my MOMO wheel were slightly out, as it tends to do sometimes...
really looking foward to the results of this one tho ;D

3rd place seems to be hotly contested Should be an interesting fight for that one The difference from my qualifying laps to my race laps is bigger though, cause my qualifying setup is much more agressive then my race one. For the race, I just set a stable car so that I can race with no problems...not the same for the qualifying though...

are laps accepted about 24 hours after the deadline? I have had a lot of work on and haven't had the chance to compete so far, but I would be able o get them in for before 2300 (GMT) - of course incurring penalties - but would the race report have been done by then?

Well, the rule has been that late entries are only accepted within a 12 hour period after the the midnight dealine, EST. I think Britain is about six hours ahead of that time. I hope you are able to make the deadline.
