Viewing those laps, and referring to Gp4Hotlaps.de, I think your qualifying lap was the fastest ever recorded!

Not really...we are not using the same physics then they are for instance nor the same BHP. They are restricted to original physics with 850 BHP if I'm not mistaken. The times that they get there are far more impressive then what I did here

One race! Three drivers! One goal! With the closing of the inagural 2005 WSRC season, Melbourne, is anything but just another race! The final battle between Brian Glanville, Hernqiue Rocha and Diogo Vincenzi, has been set.
In a contest of domination! The quite, before the storm, has just begun! 900 hosrepower virtual machines will soon be awoken from their slumber and a 2005 WSRC World Champion will be crowned! ...This is the Australian GP!!!
Welcome race fans, to the 2005 WSR Australian GP! This one looks to be over from the starting grid! Diogo vincenzi, has recorded, probably the fastest lap ever here at Melbourne! He sits'on pole with an incredible 1:20.951! Sitting in second place is his main rival Henrique Rocha, who qualified almost two seconds back! In thord is Matt Finlay, who's had a fabulouse season, taking home a win in Montreal and has shown huge imrovements throughout the year. In Fourth is Brian Glanville, one of three drivers with everything at stake today. He's won in indianapolis, France and Germany and I'm sure is looking for an upset and to take home the crown and Finally, in Fifth, is Lonnie King. With his Teammate matt Finlay, they were able to secure a Second place constructors finish for the team which will be disbanded at the closing of the season.
Here come the lights! This is it, the closing race of the season! Vincenzi dashes off the line, two seconds ahead of Rocha followed by Finlay and Glanville, both about a seconds back! King has a slow start and five seconds off the lead pace. Lap two, Vincenzi is running a blistering pace, and already has opened up just over a five seconds lead on Rocha. Two seconds back is Finlay and Glavnille fighting for position and King is about three seconds back from Glavnille. Lap three, Almost eight seconds separates Vincenzi From Rocha. Four seconds back Finlay has lead Glavnille by about a seconds. King is still three seconds back from Glanville. Lap four, Vincenzi's lead is now about nine seconds over Rocha! Rocha is not running slow either! Five secodns behind him is Finlay who's has put another seconds between he and Glanville. King's pace is slowing! Lap five, half way to go and twelve seconds is the lead that Vincenzi has over Rocha! Almost seven seconds back from Rocha is Finlay wh's lead over Glanville has dropped to a second. King spins off and recovers! Lap six, Vincenzi is really porung it on. Now fourteen seconds ahead of Rocha. Seven seconds from him is Finlay who open up his lead over glanville once again! King seem's to have gotten himselfe back under control on that last lap but still a bit slow. Lap seven, Sixteen seconds now. Vincenzi looks like he'll be taking the victory and the crown! Rocha is doing all he can and cannot keep pace with Vincenzi! In Third Finlay is now abut three seconds ahead of Glanville and King crashes! What a shame! Twice in two races! You just can't end a day any worse then that! Lap eight, Vinceniz is now about nine teen seconds ahead of Rodcha! Unbelievable! Ten seconds behind Rocha is Finlay who is leading Glanville by about four seconds. Lap nine, The gap is now 22 seconds! Vincenzi just has to hold on for one more lap! Finlay, still ten seconds back form Rocha is now leading Glanville by almost five seconds. The Final lap, Vincenzi is the WSRC World Champion! Rocha finishes in second followed by Finlay and the Glanville. What a startling finish to the 2005 season! BMW Arrows may have taken the Constructors Title but Audi's Diogo Vincenzi, has the Driver's Title!

Wasn't expecting such an easy race to be honest. I'm glad I revised my setup for this one, otherwise Rocha would've take the win quite easily I'm off to go painting my 2006 car with number one on it ;D It was also good to finish the season with the pole record

It's really something I can't describe at the moment. Crossing the finish line today was really great cause I had such a great win here and was just thinking that I was finally world champion. The whole thing will probably sink in better in the next few days and then I'll be able to give you a better description of what I'm feeling right now. But really great to be champion, specially in a year where Audi wasn't with a full team in the championship.
Yeah, in the practice session I was running around the low 1:23 but I figured the car had more to give here. So the team revised the whole setup and I tested it again on saturday to see how it was and I was able to set that really great qualifying lap for the race. That certainly gave me a good boost for the race. Of course, quite a bit of smart driving involved here at australia, having to do the corners the best I could.
Well, as it has been announced before in several press releases, Audi is looking into a great 2006 season. We have a bigger sponsorship from both Pioneer and Bridgestone, the latter which should benefit not only us, but all Bridgestone teams, Lonnie King is also our second driver for next season which will help us achieve the goal of winning the constructor's championship. Our 2006 car is nearly ready too, so as soon as the pre-season testing opens we'll be taking the car out to see how it performs.
Today's race was incredible. It reminded a bit of the Hungarian GP where Rocha really went away with the race at an incredible pace. It was good to have a comfortable win this time around. Interestingly, the season ended in a very good fight, since me and Rocha were alternating wins each round. I think next season will also see some great duels, but hopefully others will be fighting just as hard too. We also have a few regulation changes, like the pitstops which will surely be interesting as the cars will be able to run with fresher tyres during the race. It'll also enable us to work some strategies for the race which will add some great excitement to the series.
Also, I think I have to thank the entire Audi crew for an exceptional job this season, even with the problems we had, they really pushed for the best and we were rewarded with this title. Looking back at the season, we had some great moments aswell, like winning at Malaysia, the season opener, and then being able to score two wins in a row at Austria and San Marino was great too. But the best race for me the whole season was definately Monaco. The odds were all against us but we still got the win despite the problems. It was also the turning point which ultimately led to the title. Now it's hard work for next season!

Well congratulations to all in the championship, especially Diogo who managed to rob me of the championship right at the very end. The competition between diogo and henrique was excellent to watch all through the season. They showed us how an f1 car can really be driven and i dare say that both of them should be maybe trying out the real thing at some stage soon.!!
The battle of the rest was very close too, with Lonnie, Matt and I having some great battles. Certainly Lonnie was right in that Matt seemed to get the better of me in the last quarter of the season, and Lonnie also raised his game in the last quarter too. It bodes well for a competitive and exciting season next year, and thats not including all these potential new drivers we may have competiting.

WSRC - Rocha, you are the runner up to the 2005 Champion! What can you say about your performance today! HR: What can I say? Terrible.
WSRC - Rocha, do you feel that you did everything you could to prepare for todays race? HR: Yes. I would have been champion if it wasn't that f*ck*ng German GP.
Rocha - Next season is only three months away! How will you prepare for the upcoming season? HR: Working on the car. That's everything I can do.

we've made alot of improvements on the car through-out the year and i've refined my driving style a bit more. but to see the pace of vincenzi at this race...unbelievable! with a better setup, we might've gotten closer to rocha, but to be 4-5 seconds off the pace of diogo is concerning. a very able world champion and congratulations to him.
fisrtly, i'd like to thank porsche for the great season we've had, culminating in a victory in canada.
as for holden motorsports, we're going to silverstone to test extensively over the winter, and we hope to be on the pace come melbourne next year.

Well, it may help, but my setup is very adjusted to my driving style, so I'm not sure if it'll help so much

My best ever was a 1:22:3 I think, but that was with some older physics I was playing around with (based on the originals, but with more grip and slightly less stability) but I haven't been around Melbourne for a while
