Wet setups are tricky! I had problems early on, last season. It wasn't until the Belgian GP, last year that I was able to create a really good wet setup! If there is any advice I can give, it would be to start with a good amount of donwforce and really work on the suspension and gears! Once you have a stable car, fine tune the settings until you feel comfortable with your times.

Nah I usually end up aquaplaning straight off the circuit under braking, no matter how much I up the ride height, so I imagine it's probably the springs which are to blame...
Dunno, we'll see, will have to submit my laps Thurs at the latest though

Well, it's more then just raising the ride height for sure. Springs are part of the suspention work so that's a start but just springs alone may not be enough. really play with your setup. The gearing can help alot as well. You don't want to be running your gears too high in slippery conditions. The more torque you have behind the tires, the more likely you are to lose control of the car in corners.

Well i will have to see if i can get my laps in, dont really like the wet prefer the dry where you can stick your car semi-firmly to the black stuff. Just out of interest how many races do you expect to be in the wet. That is judging by last year's weather patterns.

There were three. Montreal, Inianapolis and Spa. It all comes down the the weather forecast on that day.

Not really impressed with my setup so far...maybe I'm in the wrong direction...was able to get a low 1:48.x...but I did not test much either...

sitting on a 49.5...though i've spent more time doing involuntary donuts and familiarising myself with the vastness of the gravel traps than i have actually facing the correct way on the circuit.
the car is simply terrible...turn in understeer, followed by snap oversteer and then fishtailing wildly towards the exit...or gravel. so like viper, im far from pleased with my setup. i've followed standard wet weather setup practice, but it is still really bad.
btw, what is the legal checksum figure? 934c6d24?

I'm not sure off the top of my head. Viper should know. When I get a chance I can launch GP4 and find out for you.
Perhaps that is something we should add to the first post of every racing thread, so that everyone knows they are using the correct track dats.
