files have been sent, my original quali lap was 2 tenths faster but i got lucky on that lap and before i could save it the bloody game suffered a CTD, so it could have been better and I have a feeling i may have lost at least one grid slot

okay, laps completed but I'll send them after sending my teammate laps, he still has to do them...
Well depending of Diogo and Zep's performances @ Montreal, I think I can be happy with a third or fourth place here, the car was soooo unstable here, particularly in the back straight before the last chicane... I fought hard to keep it in the black stuff at 345 kph in that straight...
Okay, looking forward to United States, I might want to relax at Disney before the race ;D

I'm pleased with my race, set reasonably consistent times imo after my initial problem of setting 1.16's for all but the first lap. Required a reinstall of the carset But anyways, it's fixed, I'm happy with the race, now to find out how we did

Well, dont get me wrong, but after several (when I mean SEVERAL it is more than 300 laps) laps around Montreal, I definately hate this track. Montreal is an OK circuit, I can drive around it easily, but I couldnt be consistent like I did @ nurby, and that bloody steering wheel problems when I am rampaging 345kph through that damn back straight, was the main reason why I was not able to be competitive to aim for a win here.
I expect to have it solved before Indy, so lets see what happens...

Yep, me too...although my times didn't drift more then 5 tenths apart, I just couldn't find a balance that was good, and I also couldn't find the right compromise between Grip and Top Speed. I dunno how good I'm at Indy, but I'm hoping I can get back to form when we get to France.

2006 Canadian GP
After the test sessions of the past weeks, the game was on to see who took the most advantage of the tests at Montreal. During practice sessions Tom Matthews of KDR showed an incredible pace and went on to get his 3rd pole position of the year. RaltWest’s Bruno Castello also put up an impressive lap and was able to get 2nd for the Brazillian team. Of all the teams, the only one that did not test at Montreal was Audi Motorsports, who chose to run back at Germany. Perhaps a choice looking further into the championship, since the Audi team showed to be a bit off-pace but still was able to get 3rd and 5th places for the starting grid. Splitting the Audi drivers was Vodafone's Dave Carr-Smith and finishing up the pack came Flavio Santos.
At race start, the order pretty much remained unchanged, as Tom Matthews kept the lead into the first corner with Bruno Castello on his back. A better start for Dave Carr-Smith got him ahead of Vincenzi into third and Matthew Green closely behind, although, the Audi driver would later on the same lap retire with an electrical failure as he approached the hairpin.
For the first 4 laps that order remained unchanged, but the fight for third place was hard on, as Vincenzi attacked Carr-Smith in all ways possible. As they entered the main straight, Vincenzi got the upper-hand and passed Dave as they crossed the finish line. The battle raged on however as Dave tried to take back his position, which in the end never came. The wave of pitstops on lap 6 leaded by Matthews settled the third place for the rest of the race, as Audi's pit work went much faster then Vodafone's, giving Vincenzi the podium.
Bruno Castello put some pressure on the first couple of laps, but after that, the gap increased a bit and he ended up driving a very quiet race on his way to third. His teammate, Flavio Santos finished a distant 6th after the retirement of Matthew Green. Another quiet drive was from Rhino's Kyle Schroeder, lagging about 20 seconds behind Carr-Smith at the finish line.
Tom Matthews drove a quiet race also on his third victory this season and taking the 2nd place from Matt Finlay on the driver’s championship. Vincenzi’s lead although a bit smaller now is still quite big and the Audi driver remains the absolute leader of the championship. On the Constructor's, Audi Motorsports remain the leader and in 2nd comes Holden with 40 points. The next race will be at Indianapolis in two weeks time.
