Phew! Ok, next GP is England, which should bring us back to some more steady racing...the last 3 races were a bit hard IMO, heh...

Q: Matt, a pretty busy race today! You were able to keep Vincenzi behind you for two full laps, but then he was able to pass you from the outside. Take us trough that part. Matt Finlay:It was a very close race, and the battle with Diogo was particularly exciting. We were racing for position, and I knew I had to hold him up as much as I could within the bounds of the rules. I knew where he was, but somehow he still got through in a gap which I thought was impossible. He must've been on the grass, but it was clean racing and he's a hell of a driver! Q: And then that moment with Tom after the pits, and in the hairpin when you braked late. Tell us your perspective on both moments. MF:Well I'm not sure what he thought he was doing to be honest. My crew finished the stop before theirs, and I was released back out marginally ahead of Tom, but he didn't back off and concede the position. We're side by side through the narrow pit exit and it was just sheer lunacy when he tried to force me off the road!! I was able to recover and got inside him into the hairpin, but if you go off the line, there's so much dust and rubber that there's no grip, and I just went straight on due and he was able to pass again. Q: You are now 5 points behind Bruno and Tom. Do you think you can eliminate the gap and retake 2nd place on the standings again? Congratulations on the podium. MF:Well I think we can and thats what the goal is. It will be very exciting stuff as the season enters the final stages

Q: Tom, a good comeback today, after not finishing the US GP. You were able to keep the lead for quite a while, but then during the pitstops Audi had a quicker work. Was there a problem during the stop? Not really, the car was horrible coming in, nearly had a huge spin on entry, but the pit crew did a quick job considering the pressure they were under, but te Audi crew just happened to be that much quicker Q: Then as you exited the pits, you had a moment there with Finlay. Take us through what happened.Despite Finlay's protests, we both finished at almost identical times, and it just so happened that we came out side by side through the pitlane. This gave me the line through turn 1 and forced Matt to slow down a bit, so in my opinion, I won the place fair and square Q: You are now joint 2nd with Bruno Castello. Being able to close the gap to Vincenzi seems unlikely now, but what do you think the team has to do to make sure you finish ahead of Bruno this year? Congratulations again.Well we've alot of no starts this year, I think though, that it's highly likely this last part of the season we will be racing full time, so hopefully, we'll be able to keep up the pressure on Vincenzi, hoping for a few DNF's of course, and take second place with a few more wins

Diogo Vincenzi: Yeah, it was an important result for us, as the teams are now starting to really close up and having a good advantage going into the last races of the season is important.
DV: Yeah, I think there was some dirt on that part of the track, and so the car lost the rear for an instant, but it was enough to allow them to pass. We were able to recover though, which is the important thing.
DV: Finlay was giving me a hard time! I was trying to pass him, but he was really closing the door there. I decided to try that move, albeit a bit risky, but it worked, so it's all good. The pitstops were a bit confusing, with all the cars going in, and the team had to work faster then normal because Green was also entering the pits further behind. I actually though that Matthews was ahead of me, but after we exited the team let me know on the radio that was first. So I made sure to push and make a lead, which wasn't a problem after the small incident with Finlay and Matthews.
DV: Really? That’s interesting…about the European races I mean. As for keeping the form, the team and I are working hard to ensure that. We have now a few races coming up that are not strangers to us, as we have raced previously on them before. It should make it easier for us, although the competition is getting stiff now. Still, there are a couple of races that we must settle the score, like Germany, and Brazil.
DV: Not on my plans. It’s good to know we have a good area to play with, but my intention is still to keep winning all the races I can. Specially, since with 7 races to go, anything can happen, so we must make sure that gap doesn't get smaller.
