Diogo, we've almost become used to seeing your stunning fightbacks through the field in the opening laps, and today was no different. Tell us about your start and the battles with Castello and Carr-Smith.
Just how hard did you have to push in this race to neutralise the threat from Bruno and Dave?
We'll get Dave's thoughts in a minute, but what did you make of the battle with him for the lead of the race through Abbey and then Bridge?
We don't usually see many mistakes from you, tell us what happened at Club corner on lap three there. Were you pushing too hard perhaps or was it something else?
Next up is a test session. Where will you be testing and how can you further improve the car for Hockenheim after?
********************
Bruno, well done on the second place, but as ever, that black and maroon Audi is always just out of your reach...
This finish means you now have a six point lead over Matthews, and extended again over Finlay, these guys being your closest challengers. How do you expect the championship to play out over the remaining few races?
The director focussed mainly on yourself today, but with 5th place, Flavio is certainly assisting the Raltwest challenge. Describe for us how his race went.
Any other thought about your own performance here today?

Dave, a busy race today! Lets go back to yesterday though and discuss your qualifying lap. It was certainly one of the best laps we've seen around Silverstone!
There were rumours circulating about an alleged data-transfer from Audi to your team. Are these rumours justified?
Ok, and onto the race, tell us how it felt to lead the race from the start?
A good battle with Diogo on lap two provided us with much entertainment, how was it from your perspective?
We didn't see it on the TV, but when you pitted, you had a half a second lead over Castello. But when he rejoined after his pitstop, he was at least eight seconds ahead. What happened?
*********************
Thankyou gentlemen and best of luck in the tests next week and in Germany.

I could've done a lot better myself in qualifying. But since I ended up missing the deadline, I decided to let it go...Dave's lap reflects how well the car felt for me this time. Much better race then last year TBH. Also, my fastest lap in race was 1:15.969 if I'm mistaken Not a bad lap either. I was just surprised how you could pull out so much time in the second sector, because our first and last sectors were pretty close. I fired up your race Diogo, and watched some of it. I guess I was too slow through Stowe.

Well, the start, as usual, was important if I wanted to win the race. So I just had to keep my focus and take any oportunities to pass the other drivers. The car felt fantastic today, and I have no problems pushing to get the win.
Hmmm, quite a bit. I tried to lap as consistently as possible and also as close as possible to my qualifying times. We were worried with the tyres a little bit, cause all trough the practice sessions, we had to use the hard compound, as it was giving us better traction. Gladly, it worked well in the race as well.
It was a good, fair fight. Dave and the Vodafone team has come a good way since when they entered, and it was a good fight. But I was able to get out of the corner before bridge with better traction, and I think dave had a little wheel spin there, so I was able to get the inside line there.
Actually, there was some dirt there from the grass. I think one of the other cars must've taken a little grass and so when I entered the corner, I just lost the rear. It was hard to control the car there, but it worked. Looked a bit like drifiting!
Well, we might be hitting Monza this next week, and then go back to Germany and finish off at Nurburgring. We already tested at Hockenheim this year quite a lot, so we already have a good picture of what to do in setup terms. But we'll be taking a few new parts to Monza, that'll also be used on Hockenheim so our programme is well set. The session at Nurburing is already in advance to the Hungarian race for tyre compound choice. In relation to Hockenheim, I think with the test sessions and the aero package, we should be quite ready for it, when the race comes in 3 weeks.

I fired up your race Diogo, and watched some of it. I guess I was too slow through Stowe. Ah, that second sector is the key to the track imo. Gotta be very precise there...my hands would always cringe when I got to that part of the track, heh

Yeah it was a perfect lap, after the problems with setup we had in Free Practice there was no way we could have gotten on to the front row. But thankfully the team managed to solve a few issues and it got us pole.
Well obviously there will be data swapping between the two teams as we share the same engines, however I am not entitled to discuss what goes on behind the scenes.
We got a perfect start and initially the car felt very good, I managed to pull a slight lead over Bruno and Diogo aswell which is always promising for future races.
Well being in a position to battle the Championship leaders like that is very special in itself, Diogo is a very clean and fair racer so yeah it was a very good scrap, I had some wheelspin on the exit of one of the corners and that allowed him through.
As I exited the pits I found myself behing Flavio Santos, and with him being a Raltwest driver he managed to hold me up. I tried to get past him later on in the lap but he is a very capable driver and I couldn't pull it off, so yeah we lost about 8 seconds in that scrap, that definatley cost us second and maybe even a crack at the win.

Bruno, well done on the second place, but as ever, that black and maroon Audi is always just out of your reach... Oh well, I was a pace setter through the weekend, I have no idea of whats going on with my car when it comes to the race, we have to look at it and figure out why I am always six seconds behind him. This finish means you now have a six point lead over Matthews, and extended again over Finlay, these guys being your closest challengers. How do you expect the championship to play out over the remaining few races? Well, we are 43 points behind Vincenzi with six races to the end of the season. I can throw away my title dream for this season and start focusing to be this season's runner up and rookie of the year, I guess. So with nothing to lose, we should see a stronger, aggresive RaltWest, playing on all-out-attack in the next races. Considering the last races and the great display of driving showed by everyone, the season is going to a thrilling finale, and despite of Vincenzi's great advantage, it should be exciting for the fans. The director focussed mainly on yourself today, but with 5th place, Flavio is certainly assisting the Raltwest challenge. Describe for us how his race went. Well, Flavio is still struggling with his car, but I think that he's doing a pretty good job winning some important points, and the team told me that they called Flavio on radio to hold off Dave behind him to help me, and here he did another good job, and secured the team in second place in the constructors championship. Any other thought about your own performance here today? Well, I had a fantastic car today, everywhing worked well. I could have won this race, I was in a good pace today, compared to my terrible performance at France. I dont know why I couldnt win this race, so we need to find why we are just six seconds behind Vincenzi in every race, if we want to win a race in this season.
