While the WSRC 2005 Season got off to a good start, once mid-season came along, it wasn't looking good for a 2006 season! But as things progressed, participation grew and now, two new teams are gearing up to compete in the 2006 season. Along with Audi F1, BMW Arrows, Porsche and KDR Prosche, will be Eclipse Motorsports and Holden Motorsport. Eclipse Motorsports made it's mainden run at the British GP with disaturous results, but with that aside, driver/owner Michael Anenekan, will more then likely be a competetive challenger for the 2006 title. Holden Motorsports is being operated by current Porsche star, Matt Finlay! Finlay recenlty announce that he was leaving Team Porsche to start his own team. This left Porsche Team Owner, Lonnie King, left looking to fill the shoes of the impressive Matt Finlay! Audi F1 is also looking for a second driver after feeling the pinch of not being able to compete for the cunstructors title this year. KDR Porsche, on the other hand, have secured a driver for the remainder of the season and will most likely conintue into the 2006 season. That second driver seat is filled by Tom Marcinek, a newcomer to the SRW forums and to the WSRC with an eagerness to compete in the searies. With all the latest developments, 2006 six could prove to be a more exciting season this current one! But for now, it's a waiting game. Will more team and drivers enter the WSRC for the 2006 season, only time will tell.
