Audi signs deal for new sponsorship Wednesday, 17th of August 2005
Today Audi F1 announced that they just signed a new deal with Pioneer for the 2006 season. While Pioneer was already sponsoring the team with a small sponsorship, this year, the company will take the role of main sponsor of the team. Audi still remains the owner of the team with a 55% share, with Pioneer holding 30% and the rest of the sponsors holding the other 15%.
"We've been in talks for a few months now. This new deal means a lot to the team as we'll be able to work with a better budget for testing and development for next year." Said Diogo Vincenzi, Audi F1 pilot and Director. In the next days, Audi will be doing an afternoon for the press at the Hockenheim Ring to show how the new livery will be. The main colors will change from the Dark Red and Blue to Dark Red and Black, and Pioneer taking the largest space on the car.
"We are already testing how the livery will be, even though we haven't really started working on the 2006 car yet. That's a bit far, but we were eager to see how the car will look, so we will be demonstrating the livery with the current a05-B car. Of course, by the time 2006 comes, we might change it, but the idea should remain the same"
The other sponsors will be returning for next season with maybe the addition of a new one that's still in negotiations. "We are still negotiating, but we are hoping by the time of the demonstration, we'll be able to announce it too." The changes will only take effect next year though, as for the remaining of the season, Audi F1 will keep the same livery.

Blah, I don't have any idea of what will be Arrows' sponsors for 2006... maybe I'll stick with HP and Petrobras but paint the car with white and blue or even yellow and green. Don't really know (I'm open for suggestions though . Anyway, hope your car looks good mate!

Car Demonstration Afternoon at HockenheimToday at the Hockenheim Ring, Audi F1 showed the press how the new livery should look. First, they announced a number of specific things. Most importantly, the deal they had let to announce wasn't with a new sponsor, but actually with Bridgestone. They signed a deal to work closely in the development of the tyres. "Our new partnership will allow us to get the car set up accordingly to the tyres. This doesn't affect in any way the relationship between Bridgestone and the other teams. We'll only be working closer from now on" explained Diogo Vincenzi, Director of Audi. Another thing worth mentioning is AMD no longer sponsors Audi. "We didn't have any problems. Both parties agreed on the termination of the contract and we left the room in good relations. We might work again together in the future, but right now is not the right time" said Vincenzi. Then, the conference went out to the circuit where Vincenzi took the car out to show the new livery as he did about 10 laps in the circuit for the press to take pictures of the car. He was also sporting a new Helmet in the ocasion, which he went to explain later: "Yeah, this is something that Audi, Marvel and I have been working on. It's a prototype, but it reflects what I should be using for the next year. We are also working in diferent paints, with other marvel characters. It does look really cool right now though!" During the laps, Vincenzi showed no mercy, and set a 1:34.397 lap time, only 3 tenths slower then his original pole for the past race. "I wasn't going to push it, but now the car is working so well that I couldn't resist it!" Vincenzi left the circuit early to get a plane for Hungary where the team is already working for the next race. Pictures of the new car below.

Let me tell a few bits of real info now. As you can see, no more red rims, that was causing me a headache. With silver ones, it'll fit about any car so it's less trouble for me. Also, I now have the German flag on the car, just to reflect the nationality of the team. The number on the car doesn't mean anything, I just happen to like number 7, hehe Hope you guys like it When 2006 season comes closer, I'll be doing the same work on another shape, which I haven't chosen yet...I'm hoping it'll be in the mp4/20, but we'll see.....well, that's it for now

It'll look a bit Williams like, but if you don't mind You could pick a big brazillian sponsor maybe, like Correios, or an Airline Company? Gol, TAM or something like that and do based on their colors, and get rid of HP all together...but that's just me talking.
