Interlagos Test Sessions
On the 3rd of February Audi conducted a fast test session at Interlagos for fuel development. The session was unfortunately quick due to heavy storms in the area and so little could be done.
"With all the rain we could not test more then 2 hours which left us most of the time in the paddock running simulations. We were able to determine which formulae to use though and with that we achieved our goal for the week." Said Vincenzi after the tests. Audi is now conducting further testing at Suzuka in Japan, while Lonnie and a separate team will be going to Silverstone in preparation for the Test Session with the other teams.
Suzuka Test Sessions
First day of testing
On the 8th of February Audi started their 3 day testing programme at Suzuka to test Tyre compounds and engine reliability. Vincenzi completed 30 laps in the first day with the a06 with a 2005 V10 engine while the other car were being assembled. "The first day was good. We were able to test a couple of compounds and also look at the Aero package. Tomorrow is when the real testing will begin.
Best Lap of the day: 1:31.702
Second day of testing
On the second day Vincenzi was able to cover 76 laps with the a06, this time using the 2006 engine. Tyre testing was the focus of the day. At the end of the day, Audi started to focus on the engine regulations. Eventually, Vincenzi was able to improve on his time with a 1:31.106. Vincenzi was also joined by young pilot Alan Benigno as they gave him a chance to test a WSRC car for the first time. "Alan is a very talented pilot and we are trilled that he was able to test today with us. For a first contact with this series he sure did a lot today. Hopefully he'll join us for more testing during the year. " said Vincenzi. Alan completed 45 laps setting a best time just half a second slower then Vincenzi
Diogo Vincenzi: 1:31.106
Alan Benigno: 1:31.673
Third day of testing
Final day of testing saw Vincenzi completing an addional 63 laps bringing the test total to a 169 laps. "With all the data we gathered this week, we can improve a lot on the car and be ready for the season. Lonnie is at the moment at Silverstone already preparing for the test session with the other teams. I'll be joining him soon so that we can test the car in a different track situation" explained Vincenzi. He also broke his record one more time at the end of the session:
Best Lap of the day: 1:30.921

Silverstone Test Session
First day of testing
Lonnie was the main pilot on the first of Silverstone testing while Vincenzi is in transit to England. He completed a good 57 laps in the first day as he focused on Aero development for the track using a full 2006 package.
Best time of the day: 1:19.350

How do you guys like my test livery? BTW, Alan Benigno is real and is actually my cousin. He'll be running a few laps now and then during the year as I try to convert him over to Gp4. Also, those figure are completely fictional except my and Lonnie's best times. I think I did the grand total of 16 laps this week with all tracks mentioned above
