You mean the shape? Maybe...

Cool, If it's not going to be all that different then I'm sure you could map in max if you have enough time

How would I map in max exatcly? Does exporting the 3ds with max and then opening it in Zmodeler transfer the mapping data? Cause if it does, then I'm going to start doing some cars right away

BTW, here are some screenshots of the car. Pretty basic stuff, as I didn't have much time to do something more impressive. Maybe later I forgot to take a screenshot of the helmet too...I'll do it the next time I fire up the game...

Cause if it does, then I'm going to start doing some cars right away Well technically you'd need a wireframe shot of the car in order to have something to map to. For example, (I made cars in max, but map them in ZM), in ZM, you would select a section of the car, place it onto the texture for where you want that bit to go, and then export the wireframe through an eps to make it whatever size you want it to be. I don't know if it's possible to do this in max, I only know how to add planar mapping. I suppose if the car is a similar basic shape then you can technically keep the mapping and it'll be fine. What does UVW Unwrap do?

Exatcly what you just said. I know how to map on max, that's not my point. What I'm asking is if I import the 3ds into Zmodeler, will the mapping be retained? Cause if I map everything on max and export to zmodeler and have to remap everything, then it would be a wasted effort.

Well if it's correctly mapped to a texture I don't see why it wouldn't work I'll have to learn how to use UVW unwrap then so I can make the whole thing in max

I guess I'll have to test it then
