Vodafone is proud to announce that it's entering the competition with it's own team for the 2006 season. Work has been hard the last months to get everything ready, and now we've found a great pilot to fill in the first seat of the team. Dave Carr-Smith is a beginner to the series, but he has had a couple of tests on the current Audi Motorsports team and shows great potential.
Our team has the backing of the Audi corporation which will be supplying us with the engines and last year's chassis so that we can start to race right on the spanish GP. Plans for a new car are currently in initial stages. Additionally Bridgestone will also be supplying us with tyres, and we just signed a great deal with Texaco for fuel supply. Our last sponsor is Sparco who will be supplying us with equipment in addition to the usual investments.
Expect an announcement with the car soon.

And I thought KDR was the mclaren rip-off beginning of this season Hmmmm, yeah, I know vodafone, mclaren and all...but the idea of a vodafone team was on my mind long before their deal was announced. I was even considering chaing my team to Vodafone next year, but that won't happen anymore, heh. For now the livery will be basically my 2005 livery but with different color and sponsors. But I'll be working something better for later on the season. For now, I'm just trying to put the car on the track so that Dave can participate on the next race and test sessions
