Holden Motorsport manager Matt Finlay today confirmed that Australian driver Blake Haswell would be replacing Reece Byrne as the second driver of the team at the USGP. Haswell, from New South Wales, has shown promise in the recent tests conducted by HSV, although it is unclear as to whether the contract extends past Indianapolis.
"It's an exciting prospect" commented Matt Finlay. "It's nice to be back to full strength after months of fielding only one car. This will certainly help us in our battle with Raltwest over the constructors championship and hopefully we can take some points away from them and the other runners. The contract is for Indy but we're already discussing future arrangements. We're sorry to see Reece go, he made a great contribution to the team".
