Sorry, but email got here after the first deadline. After that, we apply a grid penalty, which is nothing major, don't worry.

Ok, got everyone's lap now. I'll start compiling things and should have it ready later this afternoon. Need to pay a little visit to the University first though, cause I need to get a comfirmation letter of my disciplines...Seems like something wrong happened with him at university (I hope that I'm wrong)

2006 WSRC German GP
This weekend was all about the newcomers to the series, and it was fitting that one of them would take the win. Jorge Caranti, new driver of KDR, dominated the wet race in great style to take his first win. After settings an impressive time in the qualifying session which granted him Pole, Caranti had his engine changed right before the race, which meant going to the back of the grid. Due to KDR great launch system, he was sitting in 3rd by the end of the first lap and went on to take lead in the following laps to never leave it, even when the pitstops came.
KDR’s team leader, Tom Matthews, had a busy race, as he fought with Dave Carr-Smitth, from Vodafone-Audi, during the entire race. After keeping the lead into the first corner, Carr-Smith was able to sneak into the lead by the stadium sector, to finish the first lap on the lead. They kept trading places all through the race, showing how it's done until the pitstops. They both entered together, and when they left they were side-to-side going into the corner. Dave was able to push Tom wide, and made it stick. Dave then proceeded to open a small gap, which he was able to maintain till the end of the race.
Things weren’t so good for Audi Motorsports. After struggling during the practice sessions with lack of grip, Vincenzi didn’t make a good qualifying session putting him on 6th. To complete the team's problems, Vincenzi received a penalty for speeding in the pitlane, which ended putting him on 7th. In the race, he seemed to have an improved car, and was able to fight through the field, but was unable to match the KDRs and Carr-Smitth. He still made some brilliant passes on Castello and Finlay on his way to 4th.
Speaking of Finlay and Castello, they both had an early fight in the race, as they fought over 4th place, but after Castello trying to make a pass through the inside on turn 1, and touching Finlay's car slightly, he backed off a bit with some sort of steering problem. Unable to fight with Vincenzi, he let the fellow countryman pass, and settled for 6th. Finlay tried to keep up with Vincenzi, but never matched his pace and ended settling for 5th.
New team Whiplash racing had a busy and hard weekend as they tried to get the package working in time for the race. A few issues apart, their start seems promising, but the rain must’ve complicated things for them as Simon Heywood, had problems with the car, and was only able to do 7th. He was very near Bruno Castello at one point, but wasn't able to fight for the position. Rhino’s new driver Ricardo Padrela also had a tough weekend, with his teammate unable to race, and finished in the 8th and final position.
With 5 races remaining to season's end, things are very interesting now. With Vincenzi finishing with 2 points more than Castello, he was able to increase the lead slightly and his 2nd world title now is almost a certainty. If he finishes better than the Castello/Matthews/Finlay trio in the next race, the title will be his.
The fight for 2nd place is still quite open though. Matthews was able to close in on Castello, and even though Finlay dropped back a bit, there’s no reason why he would not be able to pass them on the next races. The next race at Hungary should be definitely an interesting one.

Not a great race for me. The car lacked so much grip and it was very difficult out there. Unseen by the cameras, I had a small off at the entrance to the pitlane which unfortunately cost me some time to Vincenzi but luckily I could rejoin ahead of Bruno.

Well we had a good weekend and the car felt strong throughout, we had some small problems with setting up the car during free practice but luckily the engineers found the soloution in time for qualifying. On the whole I am very pleased with how things went, its a shame we couldn't have had Diogo on the podium in Audi's home race. Congratulations to Jorge.

Struggled to set the car up but the fairly small gap between myself, Matt and Bruno shows that we can be competative with a better setup.

I had a reasonable qualifying given the weather and the track conditions, but the race... well, its a race that we have to forget as soon as possible and focus in a better pace at hungaroing because the KDR drivers showed us that they are in a strong pace and are a big threat to RaltWest. I hope theres no more wet races till the end of the season or we'll lose all the work we did to keep the team in second place in the constructors championship.

This was a bad weekend in terms of performance for the team. We had expetected to do well in our home race, but the problems that haunted us at Malaysia, came back again this weekend, and we suffered with grip all through the practice and qualifying sessions. For the race, we were able to improve slightly, and at least, we managed a 4th place, which isn't bad. Still, I acomplished what I wanted, which was increase my lead a bit further even if it was only 2 points. I'm looking forward to Hungary, where I can win my second title. A podium would be enough for it to happen, so we'll be working hard to get the result.
