The Drivers points table really is a lot different then anyone could have imagined.
When was the last time Michael Schumacher was sitting 11th in the points? I also can't stop thinking about how well Red Bull racing is doing this year! Ford much be kicking themselves that they gave up so soon and sold the team off! I'm sure the new qualy rules are to blame but you can't dispute the results! Schumacher should be able to come from the rear of that pack and finish well. He's shown that so many times before!
Toyota is quite a story this year as well. No one would have expected that either! Williams and BMW still have a lot of work to do to catch from last year. the only thing I can say is that now that many of the teams are owned by big auto corporations, there is a lot more money being pushed around. This will no doubt make for some serious competition this year. One that we haven't seen in many, many, years!

Yep, definately surprised how well Red Bull is doing at the start, not to mention that their cars look so cool I am a bit letdown with McLaren though...I thought they'd be able to get podium finishes on both races, but didn't happen yet. Congrats to Renault and Toyota that had a great start so far aswell. As for the Ferrari's, it's about time they lose a bit Remember the years of 94 and 95? Ferrari was nothing back then

As for the Ferrari's, it's about time they lose a bit Remember the years of 94 and 95? Ferrari was nothing back then Yep, I remember them well! Alesi's Montreal Victory was their first victory in quite a long time. I was happy to see Ferrari and Alesi win that race just for that reason. I really think that the rule changes, this year, have significantly evened the playing field. Ferrari no longer seem to have the advantage. I take nothing from Schumacher, but Ferrari is using last years car with 2005 regulations implimented. What's interesting is how much better Rubens is doing then Schumacher, in the same car!

I read somewhere today that Bridgestone assumed that the loss of performance from Ferrari is partially their fault. Bold move if you ask me. And Barrichelo tested the new car, he said the car is better in all aspects then the other...Too bad we have to wait till next week to see how that goes
