That's fine, I never asked you to change the rules, I was just pointing out a nice effect that GP4 produces Go and do some laps soon, haven't been in the wet at silverstone before -EDIT- Hmm think I'll be easy to beat, I'm only just into the 1:29's Fair enough!

ok, for this test session, be warned that i will not be using the WSRC carset as i still havent found any concievable reason why it wont work.
naturally, physics and performances will be WSRC standard...

Just checked weather.com and they've changed their forecast Only a 20% chance of rain, but dry otherwise. Are we still going with a wet race though? I set my personal best in the dry at any rate y/day

ok, i've hit more frustrating problems where the game will CTD at some point during my quickrace...
to eliminate variables, i'm going to run a quickrace at another circuit and see how that works. i plan on submitting that quickrace then because i feel this test session is more about understanding the rules i think, than any sort of competitive runnings. let me know what your position on this is.
for those interested, my silverstone qualification time was 1:33.xxx. i didnt bother with tuning a setup or anything, and my race laps were up to 3 seconds quicker than that time before CTD'ing.

If you guys don't mind I won't be participating on this test race. Lack of time more then anything else. I'll be up full speed for the season opener though

Well i didnt do the test race because i couldn't drive in the wet. I got one lap done in 1.49 and that was with a couple of off course excursions. So i did my own test race an Indy in the dry, so i could get used to racing/driving a little bit. Ill submit my files for that race just to see if i have done everything correctly. Hopefully melbourne will be a dry race. Btw when is it planned for?

Well, this race didn't go very well unfortunately. The bad news is, there isn't time for a second chance to get a test session going. We need to get the season underway! I hope everyone understands the new rules. But to ease this issue here it is plain and simple. All you need to do is the following.
Submit one single hotlap for your qualifying time.
COmplete a quickrace with 15% race distance and just as your cross the finish line press esc and save the game and submit the saved game data. Do not save this as a hotlap. And remember, you must make one scheduled pitstop durring the quickrace.

So just save the game? I suppose that means you need to leave the replay buffer at 25 mins then? Damn that's gonna kill my pc

I'm still dabating on that...I have not been able to test it throughly. I did a few test races in my pc and it worked. But Lonnie's tests had AI cars and that makes the replay messed up. So I need someone to send me a quickrace savegame without AI cars and see if I can watch the full replay...if we can't watch it, then there might be no point
