I made one setup change from a dry setup I made in November, so a 49:1 may be not be so bad atm all things considered

sitting on a 49.5...though i've spent more time doing involuntary donuts and familiarising myself with the vastness of the gravel traps than i have actually facing the correct way on the circuit. the car is simply terrible...turn in understeer, followed by snap oversteer and then fishtailing wildly towards the exit...or gravel. so like viper, im far from pleased with my setup. i've followed standard wet weather setup practice, but it is still really bad. btw, what is the legal checksum figure? 934c6d24? Yep, it's 934c6d24. My car is pretty well balanced and I don't oversteer. But I'm finding myself breaking really early to make a few corners otherwise the car will go off track. So I'm trying to correct that and see if I can do corners a bit faster...

I've got quite a high brake diff, so that's probably helping braking alot

Yeah, I haven't messed up with the breaking much yet...but I have the feeling that if I balance it forward I might end up understeering which I just hate when happens...

Well didnt had much practice at Sepang but i'll be doing my laps friday night or even saturday. But i have a feeling that this race will be harder than Australia for me, I have never raced under wet conditions but i'll be looking forward for it ;D

can someone give me some tips on how the differential works? how do i alter the settings of that to increase understeer/oversteer?
the best thing to do i found is get your braking done before you even think about turning into the corner. then just coast through and smoothly accelerate away.

fiddled with a dry setup a bit and have it to a 49.1, but can easily go faster. should the suspension be made softer? i assume u would want it a little softer. good thing is im having no problem staying on the track which will be good for the race. probably means im not pushing hard enough either lol.
also can we use monsoon tyres or only go as far as hard/soft heavy wets?

well i think im onto something, doing consistent 47.1's now. im almost thinking somethign isnt right in myh game like it only being 70% wet or something, hope not.

The differential settings change how quickly power is transferred to/from the wheels. So if you have a high acceleration differential, you get more understeer, but more acceleration, and it's the same for braking If you have a soft suspension (well springs at any rate) you'll need a higher ride height to compensate for the fact that the car won't be as "stiff" anymore

cool, im finding soft wets better than the monsoons anyway. what times are other ppl getting, i gotta know if i need to try harder or not

And if you have a low acceleration differential, you'll have less wheelspin, which is better for wet conditions, because the car won't spin off the track exiting slow corners.

I feel your pain...yet to do my laps, but I'm hating it in the rain...even more cause I like racing at Sepang, but as it turns out, only in the dry
